South Portland is home to a lot of great people, beautiful wildlife, lush scenery and gorgeous homes. We’ll be honest with you: this is a neighborhood for the affluent, but King Hill, Goose Hill or Lair Hill condos show their value and only improve in value over time. This isn’t a neighborhood with serious issues of depreciation. It’s green with several bodies of water, and scenic, with winding roads and some great neighbors. Like John’s Landing, this area is a little out of the way, but more than worth the short drive into town if you want a beautiful home in Portland.

John’s Landing is just out of the way enough that it’s not quite a pain in the neck to get into town to get what you want, and the pleasant, scenic drive is more than worth it, because, well, you’re living right at John’s Landing, one of the most picturesque parts of the city, and to be one of the most picturesque parts of Portland, Oregon is really saying something. If you’re a boat lover, then this is most definitely the place for you to drop anchor.
